Problem is Verizon (and Sprint) use a technology called CDMA for their cellphone network, everyone else in the world (including AT&T and T-Mobile US) uses GSM.
If Apple picked Verizon, then the US iPhone would be completely different from every other one on the market, meaning it would cost more to manufacture and leave US customers unable to use their phone outside the country.
There needs to be an iPod touch 3g, and it needs a video capable camera.

Not everywhere has iPhone coverage. The only mistake Apple made with the iPhone that they didn’t correct eventually was picking AT&T to carry the service. They should’ve picked Verizon so you can have coverage anywhere in the country.
whats the point buying the ipod touch and owning a cell phone w/ internet…. or owning a regular ipod without internet and cell phone without internet when you can just buy the iphone
but i do love this. never seen on in person but ive seen the iphone.

the new ipod touch should have a camera with video. Also 16 gb for 230 bucks and 32 for 299 bucks. and features from the new iphone 3gs

Haha, 128. I think we’ll see 16, 32, and hopefully 64 for the next model, but 128 is still a ways off, the harddrive based ipod only has 120 gigs of storage, flash isn’t that far along.
I hope that the thrid generation touch has more storage for movies and tv show what is the point of having a wide screen ipod with only 8 16 and 32 i hope that it is 32 64 and 128 gigs next year cant wait and i hope there is a camra built in

not much changes . look at most apple product , their product design is so great . they barely change over year.
i got lucky lol it was like on by BUY IT NOW and action just started ^_^ i was like holy mother brand new 32 gb ipod 2g for 299 SWEEEEEET i was praying to god that it was real and that i will get it and it came i was like the happiest mofo on the planet ^_^
